Telefilm Canada finances five Aboriginal projects for a total of $ 2.68 million

Telefilm Canada announces an investment of $ 2.68 million In Five Aboriginal projectsas part of the Aboriginal financing aspects of Documentary feature film program one you Production aid programcovering both the French and English -speaking markets.

And Annual commitment of $ 4 million is dedicated to Aboriginal Creators of Canada. The remaining amount of this fund will be allocated to projects subject to the program Talents in sight as well as Development program.

Selection process

TV movie received 22 projects representing more than $ 16 million in financing requests. All projects were evaluated by a advisory committee Composed of internal and external indigenous members. Each preselected team was met by TV movie before decision -making.

The evaluation aimed to support a Voice diversityby funding a balanced portfolio : Diversity of genres, budgets, business sizes, regions and perspectives.


Future

  • Other financing decisions, particularly within the framework of Documentary feature film programwill be announced in the coming weeks.
