The Czech Republic in turn struck by a giant breakdown

A vast electrical breakdown plunged part of the Czech Republic in chaos on Friday, paralyzing transport, disturbing hospital services and forcing stores to close, especially in the Prague capital. In question: the fall of a high -voltage line, which caused a series of major interruptions on the network.

According to the operator CEPS, the incident affected eight of the country’s 44 distribution stations and lasted for several hours. “The majority of Prague was assigned, mainly on the right bank” of the VLTAVA, said Karel Hanzelka, spokesperson for the PRE distributor, on network X.

People stuck in elevators

The three lines of the Praguois metro remained immobilized for around thirty minutes, said the public transport company DP. At the same time, firefighters had to intervene to release passengers stuck in the elevators. Public transport in other cities, as well as certain factories, have also been temporarily interrupted.
