According to ex-Senator Pierre-Hugues Boisnu, the Conditional Liberations Commission of Canada (CLCC) granted a “escort” exit permission to Hugo Bernier. He claims to have received a correspondence from the Commission to this effect, Thursday afternoon.
The murderer of the Sherbrookeoise Julie Boisnu will therefore be able to go to his father, in Gaspésie, in order to take part in a ceremony in tribute to his brother who died in recent months.
According to Pierre-Hugues Boisnu, the decision rendered by the Commission is nonsense. He would have liked to know what pushed the CLCC to make this decision, but there is no access. I was told that it was reserved for the Commission and the applicant. The families of the victims, we don’t know anything. Our rights are not equal and that is why I will continue to fight
he claims.
Mr. Boisuvenue even speaks of a manipulation
from criminals to obtain exit permissions.
Criminals continue to manipulate the commissioners because a criminal has the right to make a request and when granted, it is a privilege according to the progression and the efforts made in the rehabilitation process. It is quite the opposite that we heard for six and a half hours during its visit to the Commission last month
supports the victim’s father.

He has no remorse when it was time to think of the victims he attacked and murdered. There, his brother died, he has remorse for his death. For me, it is a form of manipulation in which the commission fell.
Recall that in June, Hugo Bernier had appeared before the Commission to obtain the right to go to his father, in Gaspésie. He also asked for permission to visit the Archambault penitentiary in Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines to possibly be transferred, which was refused.
The murderer had been sentenced in 2004 to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole before 25 years for the murder of Julie Boisvenu.
