Ludovit Reis responds to his first games with the Bruges club. The Dutch midfielder has character and intends to wear the Blauw in Zwart this season.
A few weeks after his arrival from Hamburg, Lud has already won his first trophy with Bruges. Admittedly, it was only ‘of the Super Cup, but the opportunity was good to gauge himself against the title champion: “He was a quality opponent. You can see that they will play the Champions League. They have quality in the midfield. It was a difficult match,” he explained at the end of the game.
In the German second division, Reis played in front of more than 50,000 people at home. As warm and authentic as it is, the atmosphere of the Duden park was not the same: “I don’t mean anything wrong about anyone, and I would not do any exception for this stage. In Germany, the stadiums are a little larger, but the important thing is not there,” he smiles.
Already a lot of impact
The former Dutch U21 International had already distinguished himself by a few high -flying games in preparation (including a magnificent goal against the rangers and a lot of volume of play), he showed himself to his advantage against the Union: “I appreciated. We can always work on the details, but the main thing is to win this first trophy. This is pleasant. What matters is that we maintain this guideline as a collective. We want to go to the Champions League.”
Reis believes that everything is gathered to live a great season, including in C1: “We have to show it in every game. At the beginning, you have to get back into it: it is a new club for me and a new environment. I was welcomed by everyone. I have everything I need. Then, the important thing is how you performed yourself.”
Nicky Hayen was also satisfied with the performance of his new midfielder: “He is someone who has not missed his debut. He is still looking for automatisms in possession and loss of ball, but he tries to mark the game of his footprint. We are going to work on the details. Overall, he made a deserving match. This trophy should give him a boost as well as to the rest of the team”.
