A European reminder for the Peugeot 308
The exact reason is as follows: “Rear seat belt anchors may not resist the impact of force enough. This could limit the ability of the retractor to retain a passenger in the event of an accident resulting in injury.“
A recall campaign at European level was therefore launched. It concerns vehicles produced between October 12, 2015 and December 1, 2019.
To check if its Peugeot 308 is concerned, head to box K on its gray card. The homologation numbers of the cars concerned range from E2 2007/46 0405 04 to E2 2007/46 0405 26.
If necessary, you must contact your Peugeot dealer, who will make a free part exchange. Let’s also hope that the manufacturer will take the lead by directly contacting the drivers concerned.
Dark year for Stellantis, but not just
In addition to this belt problem and the multiple concerns of airbags and engines of Stellantis vehicles, on August 15, Toyota Proace Max and Proace Max Bev vans were also recalled (E3 2018/858 00106 01 and E3 2018/858 00106 02).
The reason is as follows: “When the driver deactivates and reactivates the automatic emergency brake (AEB) during the same driving cycle, he remains disabled without a warning light indicates deactivation. This can increase the risk of accident.“
