Sunday August 17the association Les Boucles Roviéroises organizes a completely unprecedented cycling event in France in La Rouvière: the first timed hike Rando Chrono Roviéroise, a unique initiative combining sport, conviviality and pleasure of cycling, accessible to all enthusiasts.
Organized under the aegis of the Sports Federation and Labor Gymnic (FSGT), this timed hike is open to everyone: licensees, all federations combined, as not licensed. The electric bike is also allowed, in hiking mode only.
Its innovative concept is based on a circuit to be performed twice, punctuated by three timed segments, therefore six timetables and 89 km in total. This system allows everyone to test themselves on specific portions, while enjoying the rest of the course at their own pace. Pressure without pressure lovers can even choose to participate outside timemaking, for a 100 % pleasure experience.
Departure and arrival will take place in front of the Rouvière socio -cultural home. The withdrawal of bibs and electronic chips will be from 7 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., with free departures between 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m.
Two former professional runners will be present
A refueling point is planned in mid-term, and on arrival, the participants will be welcomed around a catering and refreshment area, in a musical atmosphere led by the JMB Music group and Gaëtan, a young singer.
Many awards will be awarded: scratch rankings, by age categories, and distinctive jerseys for the best times on timed segments. The event may count on the presence of two former professional runners, Stéphane Goubert, current sports director The Groupama FDJ team, godfather of the event, and Christophe Laurent, godfather of the organizing club. The Roviéroise hike is a modular sporting challenge, a festive atmosphere, and above all a moment of sharing between lovers of the little queen.
