She loses her baby and accuses her ex-partner of having made her drink abortive pills

An American woman filed a complaint on Monday against her former partner: she accused him of having hidden abortive pills in her drink, which would have caused the death of their child who was to be born on April 5.

Ligna Davis claims that this act would have taken place after she refused the repeated requests of her ex-partner, an American navy, To “get rid of it”, according to an unjustified death complaint filed on Monday before a federal court, reports NBC News.

Liana Davis accuses Christopher Cooprider of having secretly dissolved at least ten abortive pills in a cup of hot chocolate that he had prepared for him on April 5, then of leaving the house as it was bleeding abundantly, according to the complaint.

The complaint, filed with the Federal Court of the South District of Texas, contains several SMS that the couple would have exchanged for weeks, from January 31, when Liana Davis would have informed Christopher Cooprider of his probable pregnancy.

The young navy would then have declared that he “would like to get rid of it”, by SMS, indicating that they were “no in love”.

When Christopher Cooprider reiterated her wish that Liana Davis “gets rid of it” after the positive result of her pregnancy test a few days later, she would have asked him to use another expression.

“Whenever you tell me to” get rid of it “, it’s like an electric discharge”, “I really feel like hitting the roller coaster while reading this,” she wrote, according to the complaint.

The following SMS indicate that the young man would have informed his partner that he would order abortive pills online.

In the following weeks, the accused would not have managed to convince the young woman to abort, and the SMS would have become more and more disturbing.

On March 6, Christopher Cooprider would have described the baby as “thing” and implicated the “mental health” of his ex-partner who, according to him, was behind his divorce in progress.

The complaint indicates that he would also have threatened to testify against her during her divorce procedure and that he would have tried to obtain custody of his three children.

At the end of March, the navy would have sent an SMS to his ex-spouse to tell him that he wanted to “put an end to this monstrous situation” and that he felt “trapped”.

Behavior change

But on April 2, Christopher Cooprider would have changed tone in his messages. He would have offered the young woman to prepare them “a warm and relaxing tea” as part of an “evening with confidence”, according to the screenshots shared in the complaint.

Eight -week pregnant, the future mother would have accepted. When they met at Christopher Davis’ residence in Corpus Christi on the evening of April 5, the latter would have set him a cup of hot chocolate shortly before midnight, according to the complaint.

Less than 30 minutes after drinking it, Liana Davis would have started to suffer from hemorrhages and cramps.

The young woman would then have asked her partner to go and get her mother who lived nearby, so that she could monitor sleeping children while they both take the road to the hospital.

But once the young man left the house, he would have become unreachable, according to the complaint.

“I bleed in waves, hurry up,” said Ms. Davis by SMS around 00:30.

Liana Davis’ mother finally took an Uber to go to her daughter’s home around 1 a.m., and it was at this point that Christopher Cooprider apologized and announced that he had to take a plane the next day, according to the complaint.

It was a neighbor who led the young woman to the hospital, where her unborn baby, whom she had named Joy, did not survive.

Back home, Liana Davis said she found an open box of abortive pills and a bottle, which she would have given the Corpus Christi police, according to the complaint.

The complaint alleges that Christopher Cooprider would have slipped 10 tablets of hot chocolate misoprostol.

Corpus police Christi said that no investigation was underway concerning the young man.
