The RWDM Brussels still does not have a coach, but does not wait to build its nucleus. Following Mickaël Biron’s departure for Germany, an attacker signed at the Machtens stadium.
The RWDM cannot be criticized for staying crossed, despite the absence of a coach to succeed Gueida Fofana and the uncertainty that hovered behind the scenes regarding the club’s name change. The Brussels club has just formalized the arrival of its 5th summer reinforcement, the first in the attacking sector.
While Mickaël Biron left the RWDM for FC Nuremberg, in German D2, it is indeed Usman Simbakal (23 years old) who will have the heavy task of succeeding him. The Central African striker arrives from the Servette Geneva, in Swiss D1.
Simbakoli signs until 2028 at the Machtens stadium, for an amount that has not been revealed (the player is estimated at 500,000 euros on Transfermarkt). In the second part of the past season, Usman Simbakoli was loaned to the Etoile de Carouge, in Swiss D2, where he had already evolved from 2022 to 2024.
Trained in LOSC and Angers, the new RWDM striker played 21 games with team B of the DOGUES and was even a few times integrated into the A nucleus, taking place on the bench in Ligue 1 in 2021.
Usman Simbakoli mainly stacked the goals with Star Carouge, playing 65 games for 33 goals scored. In Swiss D1, he played 14 games and scored a goal.
