In particular, it proposes to establish a frequentation quota for non-residents of the district, in order to better manage the crowds around the Bruntrutain basin. “For example, no more than 300 non-indicts,” imagines the federation. On the other hand, it is surprised that the prohibition pronounced by the SIDP and the municipality of Porrentruy was motivated by the incivility of 24 people, including four Swiss, and a strong crowd
The Federation recalls that in 2020 already, access had been restricted to the Swiss non-residents. “Five years later, the measure was deemed legally questionable and ineffective, since no lasting solution has been found to prevent incivility. The perpetrators should be sanctioned individually, and not by mass exclusions,” she writes.
Socialists in the Porrentruy district also argue for alternatives to repression, such as training staff in conflict management, the use of street social workers or the commitment of trained security agents.
“The swimming pool must remain a place of relaxation open to everyone, and not feed xenophobic speeches,” said the federation. It ends by calling on the municipal authorities to also invest in the quality of the reception and the development of the site.
