There was a Donjons & Dragons game by the creator of Fallout and he arrives on Steam – News

Faithful adaptation of the rules of Dungeons & Dragons 3.5and rpg The Temple of Elemental Evil was officially stamped Dungeons & Dragons and could even boast of being signed Tim Cain, the co -creator of Fallout. The title had carved out a discreet but solid reputation with fans of the genre, being in particular rented for its artistic direction and its respect for the original material. In short, we were plunged into the Hommlet region, struggling with elementary cults and the threat of Zuggtmoy, a demonic queen not recommendable to a family meal. The game had also received a pretty 7/10 in our columns (that does not rejuvenate us).

Besides, when it came out, The Temple of Elemental Evil had hit the headlines for the possibility, for a male character, to marry another man at a given time in the adventure. A rare inclusion at the time which made Tim Caine a founding play of a broader movement, widely embraced in the industry. Suffice to say that the developer would be proud to Baldur’s Gate 3last RPG Donjons & Dragons dated, which simply gives carte blanche to the player to start any love story.

All that to say that The Temple of Elemental Evil Will arrive for the first time on Steam in September 2025: the return of the title is orchestrated by Sneg, publisher recently noticed for having exhumed the project canceled Captain Blood. The future version is based in particular on years of community work, with improved support for modern systems, although the image format remains in 4: 3.

This announcement also echoes the words of Tim Caine, more than ever in the news thanks to his video cakes published on his YouTube channel. Not long ago, he admitted having deleted the source code of the first Falloutwas expressed on what he would like to do in a potential suite and also returned to the influence of Diablo on this same saga.
