The Ready or not tactical shooting game, known as much for its quality as for its controversies, prepares a native VR mod which promises an even more realistic immersion and violence.
Released in early access to PC in December 2021, then in final version 2 years later, before landing on console this summer, Ready or not quickly established itself as a reference of the tactical FPSwhile triggering many discussions around his themes. The studio VOID Interactive is now preparing to take a new step by bringing the game in virtual reality.
A native VR mod for more immersion
Presented during VR Games Showcasethis VR mod will offer fully thought out controls and mechanics for virtual realityfar from a simple portage. Players will be able to interact with their environment more naturally, strengthening the tension and impact of interventions. The simulation of a tactical shooting game will never have been so intense.
For the moment, no release date has been announced, but new information should arrive soon. Unsurprisingly, this mod will be Reserved for the PC versionVoid interactive not having integrated an official support for mods on consoles. This could nevertheless change in a few months.
A commercial success despite the criticisms
Despite negative assessments on Steam, Ready or not has largely exceeded 10 million copies sold. Its well -welcomed console version was praised for its intuitive orders, the effective AI and its dark and immersive atmosphere. It sold as well, with more than two million sales in less than a month.
For players hoping for a physical edition, Void Interactive has confirmed that it is plannedbut it will be necessary to wait until the end of September. In the meantime, the VR mod may well redefine the experience, further accentuating the realism and the intensity of the operations.
