What does the regulations say about the formation of the new order
The following provisions are also used for the assessment, to determine the starting line -up (resumption of the race after interruption):
– The evaluation, the individual vehicles, takes place at the time described above based on the round counter and the time stamp
-The minimum boxing times valid (including any time penalty and stop-and-go time of time) are added to the time temple (travel time).
-neither pit stops nor time penalty and stop-and-go time penalties, in the sense of the evaluation, an impact on the round counter
– Analogous to the original racing start, classes of a starting group are assigned. The starting line -up, within the starting groups, takes place based on the rating (after breaking the race).
– If, for example, due to low start numbers in the class, unusual vehicles or even starters, no class rating can be created in accordance with the aforementioned guidelines, the organizer maintains the right to apply alternative calculations for the creation.
Dacia returns to the race
Good news for all Dacia fans: If the race continues, the crowd favorite is also there again. The team was able to determine a defective camshaft sensor as the cause. “This is annoying because yesterday the car went great and we were really confident,” said team manager Sabine Kriese Motorsport-Total.com. “It must have been the heat.” The team has expanded a new sensor from a car and let the Dacia run in the box, just after successful repair. Works! At the restart, team boss Oliver Kriese will sit at the wheel: “He knows the car best and can drive first!”

Video: Confusion after the power failure
What’s next for the restart?
While the first boxes have electricity again (currently the search for the Grund is still ongoing), the starting order for the restart is created. This is very complex because the order for each class must be created individually for each class depending on the number of rounds.
First two rounds for each class are counted back individually. Since the first SP9 cars have completed eleven rounds, the round of rounds should count nine. However, the order will not simply be used at this point in time, because that would be unfair, for example, to the “Grello”, who later stopped and should therefore be on the track – namely in first place instead of seventh place.
In the regulations it says: “They also [sic!] At the time of the valuation of minimum boxing times (including any time penalties), the vehicles are added to the vehicles, then as a time sentence sentence (the interrupted racing section, to determine the starting line -up for the resumption). “
This means that the Grello should actually be in the first place. As mentioned earlier, Kevin Estre took 22 seconds lead over David Perel, taking the boxing times into account, even though he was on the track for 18 seconds.
The troubleshooting runs
The technicians of the Nürburgring are eagerly looking for the cause of the power failure. To do this, the different circuits of the box building must be switched on one after the other to circle the error. How long this will take is currently not foreseeable.

Another curiosity in the 24h history
The 24-hour race has been interrupted many times since 1970, but a power failure as the cause is a novelty. “We already had everything: hail, storm, but not something like that yet,” says Rowe team boss Hans-Peter Naundorf. “We really thought we’ll go through. It was the only right, decision to show the red flag.”
What’s next?
The electricity in the pit lane is back, but the interruption will still take a while. If only because some vehicles drove to the Nordschleife after the red flag. It will take some time to get back to the box at 80 km / h.
There is no Parc Ferme during the interruption. The teams are allowed to work on the cars, change tires and drivers and refuel.
Why the race was interrupted
The power failure is indeed the reason. Because the tank columns are also affected and the teams cannot refuel, the race cannot be continued. Security is another reason, because the monitors are also dark in the race management.
Red flag!
The race is interrupted with the red flag. The reason is presumably the power failure.
Power failure!
There is a power failure on the box. All monitors are dark. Fortunately, the electricity is still there in the media center, let’s hope that this also applies to the race management. If you don’t read anything here for a long time, you know that it has caught us.
The problem is that the petrol pumps now do not work.
Sesting of the distances
As a reminder: 20 seconds are shorter per round of the previous stop. The leading condom ferrari #45 (Perel/Neubauer/Fernandez Laser/Jeffries) was in after round 5. His direct opponent from the first stint, the Getspeed-Mercedes #14 (Engel/Martin/Schiller/Stolz), came in after round 6. The #14 currently has a gap of eight seconds. So Maro Engel has already made twelve seconds against David Perel.
The Manthey-Ema-Porsche #911 (Estre/Güven/Preining) “Grello” came after the seventh round. It is currently only in seventh place, but has only 18 seconds behind the leading #45. Kevin Estre effectively has a lead of 22 seconds to #45. In theory, this would only compensate for at the last pit stop in the race.
Gripping duel between angel and haase
Maro Engel and Christopher Haase have a gripping duel. First Engel passes the Kolstertal past the Scherer-Phx Audi, which is broken on when a slow zone is dissolved by Mattia Drudi. Then there is a narrow slipstream battle on the Döttingen Höhe, from which angels emerged as the winner.
Fittje sunk the Schnitzelalm Mercedes
At the pit stop, Kenneth Heyer handed over the SR Motorsport Mercedes #11 to Jannes Fittje, but it does not come two kilometers. In the Valvoline curve, the AMG GT3 is in the gravel bed. However, this was not the guilt of the young driver because the car lost in rear wheel.
To make matters worse, the car also gets a 30-second penalty because you were too fast in the pit lane.
Round 7: Further stops and change of management
The remaining GT3 cars come to the box according to round 7. Including the leading “Grello” Porsche, in which Thomas Preining Aus- and Kevin Estre enters.
As expected, the leadership will change the lead by the later stop of the Manthey-Ema-Porsche. At the front is the Kondo ferrari #45, which was already on the box after round 5.
