The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi assured that there was no agreement for a truce with Israel, unlike the announcement of US President Donald Trump. The American president announced on Monday that Iran and Israel, at war since June 13, had accepted a cease-fire which had to lead to the “official end” of the war in which the United States intervened directly by bombing Iranian nuclear sites.
The head of Iranian diplomacy specifies, however, that if Israel puts an end to his attacks at 4:00 am, Tehran’s time, Iran will not continue his reprisals. The message posted on X by Mr. Araghchi is the first official reaction of one of the belligerents since Donald Trump’s announcement.
According to the message from the American president, it seems that the ceasefire was to come into force this Tuesday at 6:00 am Belgian time and take place over 24 hours in two stages, Iran initially stopping all its operations before Israel did the same 12 hours later.
But the Iranian state media Irib announced a fourth, followed by a fifth Salve of Iran missiles to Israel, when the cease-fire announced by Washington was to enter into force.
“A fifth salve of missiles has targeted the north of occupied territories,” said Irib, referring to the north of Israel, just before 6:00 am Belgian hour on Telegram.
On the other hand, another state media confirmed this Tuesday morning the entry into force of the truce. Israel was “forced” to conclude a cease-fire agreement, this media reported during a live broadcast, quoted by the DPA agency.
Nevertheless, Israel was also a state of missiles from Iran and sirens resounded in the country.
Israel has not, for the time being, officially confirmed the prospect of a cease-fire, which occurs after successive waves of reciprocal strikes, the aim displayed by Israel being the destruction of the nuclear installations of Tehran, accused of wanting to acquire the nuclear weapon, which it denies.
