The last days have been “mentally and psychologically incredibly difficult” for Kristina Bazan. In a video published Wednesday, August 13 on Instagram, the content designer and a 31 -year -old singer tells how she was robbed of her bag on a train from Italy and for Morges.

“I was traveling alone, I had two big suitcases and two bags. I was tired, so I allowed myself to close my eyes for five minutes. When I woke up, my bag had disappeared, ”she explains. In this baggage were personal effects, but also all his work: “My computer, my hard drive with years of unprecedented music, vocal arrangements of which I had no other copy, my passport, my identity card, my wallet with my bank cards, my camera …”

The Romande assures that the flight occurred near the Morges station: “Everything went so quickly. As soon as I realized it, I went directly to the police station. I was then taught that the train did not have surveillance cameras. ” A few minutes later, when she was still at the post, she received an alert on her phone: “Someone tried to withdraw money from my account. I had time to block several cards, but not all. ”

Beyond the material loss, it is above all the attack on her work that upsets her: “It is not only the value of the objects … It’s my work, my hard drive, my music, all this content that takes so much energy, love and care to create.” She speaks of a feeling “violating, disturbing and crushing for the soul”, especially by thinking that her personal and artistic data is now “in the hands of a stranger”.

“Accusing the victim is insane”

On Instagram, she also wanted to respond to the criticisms reproaching her to have traveled with a brand bag: “I had a large black guys guy, without visible logo. You really have to know the brand to recognize it. I even put it so as to hide any registration. ” And to denounce the “Victim Blaming”: “Accusing the victim in this kind of situation is insane. Police told me that these people are professionals, that they target travelers alone and wait for them to be tired or distracted to act. “

For Kristina Bazan, this misadventure reveals a deeper discomfort: “I find it crazy that we live in a world where we cannot quietly wear what we want and where we have to stay constantly on his guard. It’s sad and terrifying. ” She finally calls her subscribers to prudence: “Be careful when traveling. Keep an eye on your belongings. Maybe even equip them with an Airtag. ”
