Vaud finances the training of energy specialists

The Vaud Council of State wishes to encourage the establishment of training offers in the energy field. It provides for a total budget of 7.5 million francs for the period 2025-2032.

(Keystone-ATS) To meet the needs related to the energy transition, Vaud says it wants to “support centers and continuing education programs for energy specialists”, he wrote on Friday in a statement.

This concerns in particular the dimensioning and installation of heat pumps or solar panels, the optimization of technical installations of buildings or even their energy renovation.

In this context, the Council of State has already launched a first call for projects this year. Among fourteen files, seven were selected for a total amount of aid of 240,000 francs. The beneficiaries of this support designed “continuing education programs allowing the reconversion and/or the development of the skills required on the themes promoting the energy transition”, continues the press release.

Courses for solar panels

The Council of State also adds that it has already allocated 1.32 million francs to the TBS training center (SERVICE building techniques), which has developed a new training sector for photovoltaic solar editors.

This 10 -day course prepares for the installation of photovoltaic panels, both for professionals, novices and people in professional retraining, the press release said. To date, 120 people have already followed this course. From 2026, it should make it possible to accommodate 260 participants per year.
