If we only focus on this 2025 cuvée. it is not such a disturbing choice, we can we detected few quirks imagine why Google wants to technically differentiate the classic model of pro models, to properly segment its products.

However, what is surprising here is that the 2024 model, the Google Pixel 9, was compatible with Wi-Fi 7!

Conversely, this mention of Wi-Fi 7 does not appear in the official technical sheet of Pixel 10. From one generation to another, we therefore observe the loss of an interesting technical characteristic for connectivity.

Photo: The Pixel 10 makes compromises despite the telephoto lens?

On the classic pixel 10, good news, we have an additional photo sensor which is added to the rear. It allows you to enjoy an X5 telephoto lens and better versatility than the Pixel 9 and its two cameras. However, this seems to lead to a few compromises on the opening of the diaphragm of the ultra-angle.

The opening of the diaphragm in photo is an important data since it makes it possible to assess the amount of light which reaches to the sensor. In the vast majority of smartphones, this data expressed in “F/XX” is fixed for each camera. In other words, we detected few quirks you have to deal with what the phone offers.

On the Pixel 10, we have an opening of f/2.2 for the ultra grand angle, which is already much lower than the f/1.7 of the pixel 9 (the larger the figure, the smaller the opening). But that is still getting worse by leaning on the format of the sensor in question. less defined and smaller than on the pixel 9. Gold, or in facta smaller sensor will already capture less light.

On the great angle, we have the same trend, but less marked. The Pixel 10 loses slightly in definition (48 instead of 50 MP) and opening (f/1.7 instead of f/1.68) while its main sensor is less wide (1/2 inch instead of 1/1.31).
