30 years. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the album “D’Alres”, Céline Dion will return to the front of the stage … or at least on your TV screen, on September 3.
In this program “Céline tells of them”, the singer confided last May in Las Vegas to the presenter Ophélie Meunier. The two women will evoke, during this event evening, behind the scenes of the best-selling French-speaking album in history, written and directed by Jean-Jacques Goldman.
An evening filled with archives and revelations
“We think everything has been said … but no,” explains Céline Dion in the trailer broadcast by M6 on social networks. This special evening, broadcast at 9:10 p.m., will offer many unpublished images: work sequences between Jean-Jacques Goldman and Céline Dion in the studio, filmed by a Canadian television, rare performances and unpublished photos made for the back of the album.
“These are dozens of rare and unpublished documents, so far inaccessible (some have not seen the light of day for more than a quarter of a century) which offer spectators a privileged immersion in the intimacy of the creation of this legendary album,” said M6 in their press release.
An expected media return
This speaking is all the more striking since Céline Dion, suffering from the syndrome of the steep person, is rare in the media. Indeed, her latest television interview in France dates back to June 2024: the singer confided in Anne-Claire Coudray on her illness, during an interview for the 20 hours of TF1. A few weeks later, she offered a performance of “the hymn to love” by Edith Piaf, during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics. It was then his first performance in four years.
Since the gradual cancellation of all her tour dates, Céline Dion has concentrated her forces on her health, only allowing himself exceptional appearances, like this.
A tribute to a legendary meeting
Through this program, Céline Dion will return to her meeting with Jean-Jacques Goldman. Together, they shaped the album “D’Alles”, sold in more than 10 million copies, worldwide. Today there remains one of the most essential albums of French -speaking music.
Moved, she will evoke the discovery of the iconic French singer Jean-Jacques Goldman and remembered the recording sessions in which the ping-pong took a large place. With a certain modesty, the Canadian star also testifies to his metamorphosis thanks to this album: “I discovered myself,” said the press release. “I had no wait … I was so happy. I had discovered extraordinary songs and in addition a friend. I had discovered a friend… ”, she confides in this exclusive exchange.
M6 promises an appointment which should seduce both the fans of the Quebec diva and the curious eager to dive behind the scenes of an album that marked the story.
