The Vaudoise Federation of Entrepreneurs (FVE) enjoins the municipalities with more flexibility in the granting of schedules in the event of hot weather. The ridge also asks the population more understanding in the face of noise potentially caused early in the morning and the client of tolerance as for the delay penalties in the event of a heat wave.
(Keystone-ATS) “The new heat wave that the canton of Vaud is currently crossing calls to hammer good practices and list the many measures put in place to protect workers in the event of a heat wave,” the FVE wrote in a statement on Wednesday.
“If technical and organizational measures exist and financial supports allow, in certain cases, the closure of construction sites with a dry loss for the entrepreneur, a simple measure too often comes up against the rigidity of certain municipalities and the lifting of shields of residents,” she adds.
“Entrepreneurs still too often come up against the refusal of certain municipalities to authorize work from 06:00 in the morning and to the delay penalties of the contracting authorities,” regrets the FVE.
It recalls the various protective, technical and organizational measures implemented in the event of a heat wave by entrepreneurs, including the mobility of the teams (indoor or traveling work on indoor sites) and time lag (starts work earlier and favor heavy work in the morning). It also cites site suspension measures and partial financial support (unemployment, rigor).
