Ah, here you are finally summer. This period when we finally discover ourselves, letting our skin still white soak up the warmth of the sun … and do The treat of mosquitoes !
Because if summer is pleasant for multiple reasons, it is also a season where we undergo the most small investigating sores: Insect, lively or jellyfish bites (the joys of the beach!), Sunbody, insolations…
So, before robbing the local pharmacy, we asked our Internet users some advice from natural remediesthese good grandmother tips that are transmitted from generation to generation!
Our worst enemy in summer: the mosquito
We are fortunate to live in a region still spared by the tiger mosquito, but the “not tiger” mosquitoes are still able to rot our life! To keep them away, think of course of mosquito nets on windows, not very aesthetic but effective, and lemongrass essential oilto be used with caution, following the recommendations of a pharmacist.
If however you could not escape the bite, here are some tips from our readers to relieve you. And the good news is that it also works on the bites of other insects:
- White tiger balm: “Sallery guaranteed here on Taon bites” (@aline)
- “During a herbalist lesson, we learned to make a plantain balm with aspic lavender essential oil, and it was not bad to calm insect bites! »(@Sabrina)
- “For wasp bites, approach a cigarette to remove the dart!” Very effective … provided you don’t burn the person, of course! »(@Ingrid)
- “To avoid itching after mosquito bites we use a zinc sulfate solution that bought in pharmacies. Not really a grandmother’s remedy but it is rather effective. »(@Alexandra)
What about sunburns?
- “I remember my mother who brushed a boyfriend from head to toe with apple cider vinegar to relieve it from the sudden blows. It also works on wasp bites. »(@Alexandra)
I have aloe vera plants. I use their gel for insect bites and sunburn.
And since we are talking about sunburn, Sylvie recommends that we apply tomato rings to the skin … Without olive oil, of course!
