The Société des Establiques de Valese du Québec (sepaq) received an indefinite strike notice on Friday from July 19 for all its establishments.
These would therefore be closed “from Friday, July 18 in the evening, with the exception of the Ashuapmushuan wildlife reserve and the Duchesnay tourist resort”, can be read in the press release.
This strike notice was transmitted despite the agreement in principle concluded between the union (SFPQ) and the sepaq on June 19.
The members of the Syndicat of the Public Service and Parapublique du Québec are in the process of voting on this agreement until July 17.
“The sepaq will argue its customers as soon as the result of the vote is communicated by the union party,” the statement said.
The strike would therefore be triggered only if the agreement in principle is rejected by the members.
“For the moment, it is not recommended to cancel your stay or activity,” says the sepaq.
If the slipping is really triggered, reservations and activities would be canceled and reimbursed, with the exception of seasonal camping locations, daily fishing with personal boats at the Vérendrye wildlife reserve and certain activities offered by partners.
