Air France-KLM and the ADP group join forces

Air France-KLM and the ADP group unite their forces to facilitate correspondence within the Hub of Air France at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport

On the occasion of the 55e Edition of the International Aeronautical and Espace Salon (SIAE) last June, Air France-KLM and the ADP group announced a reinforced partnership, baptized Connect Franceaimed at improving the passenger experience in Paris-Charles de Gaulle. From this summer, a first concrete initiative is born: a system of prioritizing customers in transit in Paris according to the time they have to carry out their correspondence.

Each day, Air France transports up to 140,000 customers, almost half of which are in correspondence via His Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub. To facilitate their transit within the airport, a dedicated route has been set up by the ADP group, recently with fully redesigned multilingual signage.

The Air France flight program is optimized to allow customers and their luggage to succeed in their correspondence between two flights. However, some hazards can reduce the time that customers have to change plane.

Now when a time of correspondence passes under A certain threshold (For example 45 min for correspondence between Toulouse and New York, with an arrival at Terminal 2F and a departure of terminal 2E Hall K)a priority treatment is automatically triggered for thes clients concernedswithout thisux-ci did notint to make the request.

Concretely, within the framework of this system:

  1. At the latest at the end of the contribution flight to Paris-Charles de Gaulle, customers receive an SMS and an email indicating to them that because of the reduced period they have to join the boarding gateway to their next flight, they are eligible for priority access to safety checks and border police. This message will also soon be sent to them by a notification in the Air France mobile application and a WhatsApp message.
  2. When customers present themselves to security checks and border police, their shipment cards are checked and the ADP group’s reception provider is automatically notified of short correspondence. He then offers them priority access.

The objective: to reduce their passage time as much as possible and allow them to reach their boarding door within the time limits.

This system is based on an exchange of information in real time between Air France, the ADP group and its reception provider. These data include in particular:

  • The estimated time of course in the airport,
  • The time required to carry out security checks and border police formalities as well as waiting time for these controls,
  • The updated departure schedule of the following flight.

This device called “Short Connection Pass Is the first concrete achievement of Connect France.

« One month after the signing of Connect France, this system fully illustrates our common will, with Air France-KLM, to streamline passenger routes and make Paris-Charles de Gaulle an ever more efficient and attractive hub. Short Connection Passsimple for the passenger and efficiently effective, is a concrete advance at the service of the experience of our passengers », a Underlined Regis Lacot, Deputy Director General Operations & Innovation-Director of Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport.

« Support our customers and facilitate their journey is a priority. The Air France hub in Paris-Charles de Gaulle is already the most powerful in Europe by the number of correspondence opportunities offered. Thanks to this joint initiative with Groupe ADP, we give ourselves the means to strengthen its attractiveness and reaffirm our desire to hoist Paris-Charles de Gaulle to the rank of the largest world hubs. “Said Alain-HervĂ© Bernard, Director General Operations and Air France Cargo.
