Adaflex is the third medication based on melatonin authorized in France, after Circadin and Slenyto. Unlike these two prolonged release specialties, Adaflex is in the form of immediate release tablets, administered by oral, for faster action. It is currently available in town and not reimbursed.
Indications
Mode d’action
Melatonin is a hormone naturally produced by epiphysis in humans. Adaflex medication is supplementation. Its action is mainly exercised on the MT1 and MT2 receptors, involved in the regulation of the circadian rhythm and the adaptation to the light-host cycle. This activity contributes to its effects on sleep, in particular by a sedative action and an increase in the propensity for falling asleep.
Attention !
- The tablet can be crushed and dispersed in water just before administration.
- It is recommended not to consume food 2 hours before and up to 2 hours after taking compressed adaflex, especially in diabetic patients.
- Alcohol reduces the effect of melatonin. It must be avoided.
Conservation
Does not require special storage temperature conditions. Keep the product sheltered from light, in its outside packaging.
