By mistakenly buying two tickets from the American lottery, a resident of Massachusetts won the sum of a million dollars twice in early July.
Double jackpot with a lottery. On July 9, the American Paul Corcoran won two million dollars by mistakenly purchased two posts from the Powerball lottery, on the Massachusetts side, the organization reports in a press release quoted by CNN.
Originally from Fitchburg, the latter says that he bought a first multiple drawing ticket covering seven games, before buying a second by wrongly believing that the last draw of his ticket had already taken place.
The same numbers played “for some time”
Finally, this error largely brought to the owner of the tickets since having twice the combination of winning numbers of that day, Paul Corcoran won the sum of a million dollars twice.
The man has also played these same numbers “for some time,” said a spokesperson for the state lottery in CNN.
“Mr. Corcoran told the Massachusetts lottery that he felt good and that he had no projects for his earnings yet,” the Powerball Lottery wrote in a statement.
Winning tickets were the first PowerBall tickets worth $ 1 million sold in Fitchburg and the Iminster (place of purchase of the second ticket, editor’s note), in the Massachusetts, according to the Massachusetts Statelle.
