Orange juice is a subject that we have often been asked to deal with in this section. Here come time to look into it! To rattle wider, we have chosen to also include other fruit juices, since for some people, they are interchangeable.

We have included all types of fruit juice, both those that contain only fruit as those that contain many added sugars. However, we have excluded iced teas, sparkling drinks and smoothies, since they do not seem to be part of the same category.

Finally, we chose the fruit juices ready to drink as is, which excludes lime or lemon juice as well as the powders and drops to add to water.

There are a lot of fruit juice brands, so this census is not exhaustive. It aims to cover the main brands offered in grocery stores, as well as the smallest Quebec brands.

Quebec and Canadian juice

We suspect: many ingredients in Quebec and Canadian juices are imported, by the way, due to our climate. Here are still juices that are prepared here, by companies here.

The Quebec company Lassonde is the one that distributes the most widely juice. She has the Oasis, Rougemont, Kiju, Allen’s, Fruity, Orange house and Sunrype brands. According to the information we have found, all of these juices are made in Quebec or Canada. It should be noted that the oranges used for oasis juice come from Brazil.

Other Quebec juices that are found on the tablets are produced under the loop, dose, superfruit, impress, Nutra-Fruit, Fruit, GaĂ¯os, Zamalek and Hibisera.

The case of the Sealtest lemonade is particular: the brand belongs to the Anglo-Dutch multinational Unilever, but it is used under license in Canada by the Agropur cooperative, whose head office is in Longueuil.

Among the smallest producers, several orchards obviously sell their apple juice. One can think of the juices of the marks La Pommalbonne, Verger Maia, the Vergers du Cap, Domaine Lafrance or even Bio-V.

Companies that cultivate other fruits (blueberries, cranberries, camels or neat berries) also sell their products by declining them in juice. We can notably think of gold fruit, patience fruit & co, delicacies of Lac-Saint-Jean, wild blue, Mistouk cameries, camer producers, Roy drinks, Hiberna, Argousiers du Lac Brome, Léikora superit.

The importer Cedar Phoenicia, which belongs to the Quebec Metro company, also markets several juices. It was not possible to confirm their place of manufacture.

Elsewhere in Canada, we find the producers of the Alphonse juices, Happy Planet, Greenhouse Juice, just juice and Red Crown.
