The ceremony “will offer the population the opportunity to pay a final tribute to an artist and creator who deeply marked Quebec culture,” said the Cabinet of Prime Minister on Friday.
Quebec is still in discussion with the family and the broadcasting networks to determine if the ceremony will be broadcast on television. The minister’s office should communicate on this subject in the coming days.
Let us recall that Sierge Fiori, singer-songwriter of the Harmonium group, was swept away by a long illness at the age of 73, on June 24.
A register of condolences is made available to Quebecers who would like to offer their sympathies to the family of Serge Fiori.
