Even when they have the financial possibility, women invest less than men, and it is an expensive error …

Adeline began investing twenty years ago at the start of her professional career. At the start, with a simple pension savings. Then, over the years, she began to take an interest in the scholarship after having noticed that the remuneration of the savings accounts was – and is still – derisory. “”It took me a while to understand that leaving my savings on a savings account, in the end, I lost money and I said to myself, what can I do to try to optimize the yield a little and create a little heritage. And that’s how I turned to the scholarship. I read a lot on the subject, I listened to specialized podcasts, tried to form a little bit. And, since then, I have regularly investing in shares or trackers (investment funds which essentially reply stocks).

And his investor profile? “”I would say that, strangely, I have a rather aggressive profile because in fact, I really invest over the long term. I invest in a horizon of several decades, for my pension and therefore, a priori, I can allow myself to take more risks because these risks will be smoothed over time. I mainly invest in shares in the technological sector or on stock market indices in the United States which, necessarily, fluctuate a little with international news and the crises that we have had. But as I have a really long -term vision, I tell myself that in the end, I will be a winner.

However, Adeline does not try to make “blows”. It is gradually investing, months after month, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less, depending on the circumstances.

And his friends? They also invest? “”It’s pretty funny in fact because when I talk about my investments to women, immediately, they tend to say “Oh there, you are not afraid of losing money, it’s risky”. “How do you know what to invest in?” “I don’t know much about it, it scares me.” And if I talk to men, they will have the opposite attitude by saying “Ah it’s great! What have you invested? What is the return on your wallet every year?” And so there are really two approaches”.

But over time, some of his friends have ended up also getting into the world of stock market investment.
