The long -awaited season of the barbecues, evenings by the pool and aperitif on the terrace begins. Only concern on the horizon: mosquitoes. Always the same who come to spoil the party. We all tested the sockets, lemongrass candles, sticky sprays (even the anti-mosquito shell) without much success. What if the solution came from a completely different field: that of the laser?
So here it is: engineers have created what is a mini laser cannon for mosquitoes. The name: Photonmatrix. A futuristic object designed to detect and neutralize them in full flight. What to create a bubble without harmful mosquitoes around you within a radius of 6 meters. All without making noise, odorless, and above all diffuse chemicals.

Finally the miracle anti-mosquito laser?
But how does it work? The system is based on surgical precision technology. The laser follows the mosquitoes in real time, the targets ultra quickly … then pulls. 3 ms barely be enough to locate the pest, determine if it is a female (these are the only ones who really bite), and shoot. All this thanks to a CT scan Lidar and an adjustable laser.
And to answer the question posed by all parents (and parents of cats or dogs): no, it’s not dangerous. According to the manufacturer, the laser is precisely calibrated to reach only precise targets in flight, and not pose No risk for humans, domestic animals or objects around.
Two models of anti-mosquito repellents are offered: a basic version (range of 3 meters) and a pro (6 meters). The device holds up to 4 p.m. thanks to an external battery, and plugs into any portable battery via a small adapter sold less than 10 €. Alas, the laser-tuler itself is a bit expensive: Count the equivalent of € 423 and € 593 depending on the version.
