The new Xpeng G6 and G9 are available in pre-order on French soil. The two models see their performance progress. However, the Chinese brand has chosen not to increase its prices. This is not going to fix Tesla’s affairs.
A small LFP battery for the G6
Xpeng continues its European deployment with an increasingly attractive offer. The main argument of the new models of the Chinese brand is played out on the recharge speed. Thanks to 800 volts architecture and real technical progress, the G6 now offers a charging power of 451 kW (against 280 kW on the previous version) and 525 km of autonomy. The recharge of 10 to 80 % is carried out in 12 minutes. According to Xpeng, this is the model with the fastest recharge in its category.
Another novelty on the G6 side: a 68.5 kWh LFP battery available for the “standard autonomy” version. However, it will be necessary to wait until early 2026 that this version was marketed in France. Beyond the technical aspect, the G6 also evolves in terms of comfort and design. The interior has been redesigned with new materials, a sudden roof sky, a capacitive steering wheel and a wooden dashboard. Its lines are more refined and new colors are offered.

In France, the “extended autonomy” version equipped with the 87.5 kWh battery is still offered at € 46,990. A price wedged on that of the Tesla Model Y great autonomy propulsion.

G9: The high -end electric range is growing in power
For its part, the Xpeng G9 also crosses a milestone in the area of recharge. The large electric SUV is now capable of collecting up to 525 kW in peak, the maximum currently observed on the market. This capacity also allows it to recharge 10 to 80 % in 12 minutes. The brand specifies that the autonomy of the new model can reach 585 km depending on the WLTP cycle. The G9 retains its high -end positioning with an entry price set at 59,990 euros.
The experience on board is up to its premium ambitions. Passengers benefit from a spacious cabin, heated seats, ventilated, even massaging depending on the versions, and from a level of enhanced finish, with an extensive choice of upholstery and a passenger screen of almost 15 inches. The main trunk exceeds 650 liters, to which is added a fruit at the front. The exterior design has also been revised with more sobriety and careful integration of the sensors.
In France, the G9 is well placed in front of models like the Mercedes EQE SUV or BMW IX3. The Chinese SUV advances a more accessible offer without sacrificing comfort or technology. What attract a family or professional clientele in search of a large template, excellent charging performance and a contained budget.
