Business Sumupspecialized in means of payment for businesses, published a study listed The best cities in France to shop. The capital of the Alps makes a remarkable entry into the top 10, and is even a few steps from the podium.
Direct entry in the top 10
The study focuses on Personal equipment stores (clothing, accessories, thrift stores) and classifies cities according to the number of stores of this type per 100,000 inhabitants.
Here are the top 10 of the best cities in France to do fashion shopping in 2025 and their note out of 10:

- 3) Toulouse : 6,83
- 4) Nîmes: 6.43
- 5) Grenoble : 5,69
- 6) Marseille : 5,59
- 7) Bordeaux : 4,85

- 9) Brest : 4,77
- 10) Saint-Etienne: 4.74
In order, follow the cities of Tours, Montpellier, Rennes, Lyon and Nice.
Grenoble therefore arrives at the 5e positionafter being absent from the 2024 edition of the study.
A particularly popular district
