It is the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bois-Francs and Maple (CCIBFE), Keven Brasseur, who will carry the colors of the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) during the by-election in the district of Arthabaska, announced Prime Minister François Legault.
Training accountant and director at the Canada Development Bank, Mr. Brassor is not a newcomer to the CAQ. He notably provided the vice-president of the party’s youth wing in the past.

Well -known figure in the region, the CAQ Count on him to stimulate voting intentions for his party in the district of Arthabaska where he will meet iron among others with the leader of the Conservative Party of Quebec, Éric Duhaime, who tries to enter the benches of the National Assembly.
The Parti Québécois will bet on the former journalist of Radio-Canada Alex Boissonneault, while Pascale Fortin, a citizen of Victoriaville, will present himself under the banner of Quebec Solidaire.
The Quebec Liberal Party, although it has announced its intention to present a candidate, has not yet confirmed a candidacy.
Located in the Center-du-Québec region, the district of Arthabaska has no longer had any deputy since March 18, following the departure of the caquist Eric Lefebvre who is now sits in Ottawa in the ranks of the Conservative Party of Canada, after winning his elections in Richmond-Arthabaska.
Prime Minister François Legault has still not announced the date on which the ballot will be held in Arthabaska. But according to the rules of the National Assembly, he must do so by mid-September.
