Light survey: the reshuffle will have little impact

The vast ministerial reshuffle in preparation for Quebec will not allow François Legault to relaunch his routing government, believes a majority of voters.

Indeed, only 23% of Quebecers believe that this game of musical chairs “will give new impetus to its government”, according to a new light poll*.

Conversely, the maneuver will not change anything for 58% of respondents.

However, almost one in five voters (19%) refuses to respond. The Prime Minister can therefore still hope to convince part of these undecided.

The Léger firm also probed the opinion of Quebecers on the fate of certain ministers brought to the ballot by François Legault.

The results will be published tomorrow in the pages of Journalwith the most recent data on voting intentions in Quebec and Ottawa.

Vast reshuffle

Since coming to power in 2018, François Legault has made very few changes to his ministerial teams during the mandate.

But this time, with barely 17% support for voters last June, the Caquist Prime Minister decided to shoot down this master card, in the hope of changing the face of his government.

The operation should occur shortly after the Labor Day.

According to our information, all current ministers are likely to change their seat … or downright return to the rear benches.

*Online survey conducted with 977 respondents aged 18 or over with the right to vote, from August 15 to 18, 2025. The results were weighted in order to guarantee a representative sample of the Quebec population. For comparison purposes, a probabilistic sample of this size would have an error margin of at most ± 3.1%, (19 times out of 20).
