The Municipality and the Council of General of the village of Rance ask the Vaud Council of State to suspend the municipal Catherine Gysler. Various dysfunctions are accused of.

(Keystone-ATS) The Council of State was requested in June and the procedure is underway, indicates the trustee of Ranances RĂ©my Cand, confirming in Keystone-ATS information from the local newspaper “L’Omnibus”, developed Thursday by 24 hours.

The trustee of the small village of the North Vaudois (530 inhabitants) evokes several “problems” with the elected official, in particular “non -concerted” decision -making and “inadequate” behavior. Her recent conviction in justice, in connection with the animal center she manages, has also weighed in the decision.

The suspension of the municipal has also been claimed by the General Council, whose management commission deplores certain “extrabudgetary” expenses that the elected representative seems to have decided “unilaterally”.

Available on the municipality’s website, the management commission report speaks of “total loss of confidence” and calls on the interested party to “resign voluntarily in order to put an end to a situation which benefits anyone and which makes our village shine only by its political tribulations”.

Dicasteries withdrawn

Note that Ms. Gysler has already had her dicasters withdrawn by her four colleagues from the municipality. However, she continues to attend the municipal sessions, as a auditor, specifies 24 hours.

Questioned by the Vaudois daily newspaper, the elected implication replied that she does not wish to comment on this file “as long as the procedure is underway and that no formal decision of the Council of State has been rendered. »»

Catherine Gysler had been tacitly elected during a complementary in 2023, for lack of candidates, recalls another 24 hours.

Rances is not the first Vaudoise commune to end up in such a situation. Recently in Prilly, the municipality also asked, then obtained from the Council of State, the suspension of a member of the executive. In recent years, municipal suspensions in Nyon or Vevey had also hit the headlines.
