The price will be in force all day on Sunday for all STL services, the transport network said in a press release.
This offer is part of the annual SMOG alert program of the Laval transport company.
This program, which has existed since 2008, aims to encourage the population to use public transport when air quality deteriorates.
The price of $ 1 represents a reduction of approximately 75% of the regular price.
“This concrete gesture is part of our desire to reduce greenhouse gas emissions linked to urban travel and [de] Foster a more sustainable mobility for all, ”said the president of the Board of Directors of the STL, Jocelyne Frédéric-Gauthier.
The SMOG alert has been triggered 35 times by the Laval transport company since the creation of the program.
