The city of Friborg strengthens its efforts in favor of children through the development of a strategy dedicated to the youngest of them. Concrete improvements in the existing offer have been imagined, thanks to a survey of parents.
(Keystone-ATS) The strategy is entitled “a strong commitment to young children and families”. In parallel, the governance of reception structures will be reviewed and will take the form of a private law foundation, in order to develop the existing offer and gain efficiency, the municipal authorities said on Thursday.
From zero to eight years
In the wake of “growing up in the city of Friborg”, its global strategy dedicated to childhood and youth up to 25 years, the town brings a complementary policy. It is specifically intended for small from 0 to 8 years old, their parents as well as to all the people concerned or interested in the field.
The city wants each child to “flourish in his family, in its host structure and in the context of activities that punctuate its daily life”. This, “in order to offer equitable chances to each child for his future life,” noted the press release. The file is led by the municipal councilor Mirjam Ballmer.
