Winner Thursday of the time trial, the Zurichois won the road event on Sunday. Refection champion, he has ahead of Marc Hirschi at the sprint in Fischingen.

Imago/SirotIt’s a great week that Mauro Schmid just lived, the training runner Jayco Alula. The 25-year-old Zurichois first won the title of Swiss champion of the time trial on Thursday, before having double Sunday by winning the title in the road event.
Reigning champion, Schmid therefore kept his red tunic with the white cross while passing the line in the lead in Fischingen, in Thurgovia, after the 12 laps on a circuit of approximately 15 kilometers, after 4 hours 25 minutes and 29 seconds of races.

But the Zurich had to work to win. With the other favorites, they have long been dropped by a breakaway led by Argovian Jan Christen (UAE) and Valaisan Valentin Darbellay (Elite Foundations). They counted several minutes late.
But in the ninth round, Schmid and Marc Hirschi (Tudor) hunting and returned to the two men of the leading.
A group of six runners, with Arnaud Tendon (Elite Foundations) and Elia Blum (Elite Foundations), appeared in the last round.
On the line, in the sprint, Mauro Schmid therefore preceded Marc Hirschi, titled in 2023. Third place returned to Darbellay, runner of the national category. Tendon took fourth place, Jan Christen the great host of the day, the fifth, and Blum the sixth
