Results-FSGT French Championship in Esserts-Blay (73) on July 5 and 6, 2025.
Laurine Ducoté and Côme Bailly-Cornot titled.
At the start of the summer vacation, 5 Montcellians went to Savoy to compete in the French FSGT Route championships on a course of more than 10kms with great difficulties in a warm heat on Saturday but also rain on Sunday. And they did not move for nothing since they come back with 2 titles.
Saturday was reserved for young people and the CLM championship.
And CLM: 12th place for Mickaël Pegaz. It is a solid CLM for Mickaël on a very demanding course of 16kms with 800m of elevation gain.
In bicycle school : skill games, sprints and online race.
Mosquito : Côme Bailly-Cornot is federal champion. What an exciting category! Indeed, the first 3 runners finish on equal points. Thanks to his flawlessness at the skill games and his 2nd place in the race, he offered himself his first national jersey.
Pupil : 4th place for Yarno Bailly-Cornot. That it is frustrating for Yarno. A problem with skill games where he loses a few seconds costs him the podium.
I do not minime f : Laurine Ducoté is champion of France. It’s a dream come true for Laurine. She worked all season for this championship. A rapid departure of the 2 favorite competitors. Laurine returns to the train. She tries an acceleration in the big difficulty that will be fatal to her opponents. She will do the last 10 kilometers alone at the front to win her greatest victory.
Sunday, place for adults.
In Senior : 29th place for Mickaël Pegaz. It is a difficult course even for climbing runners. Mickaël defended himself with his weapons and managed his race well.
Veteran : 34th place for Jean-Michel Ducoté. It was not a careful course for him. However, Jean-Michel hung on and did not give up to finish in the top 40.
The Saône et Loire committee won the team prize in the cycling school categories, minimal boys, minimal girls, cadets and juniors.
Sylvie Creuzenet validated her diploma as Commissioner 2 and Juline Ducoté her Diploma of Aid Commissioner.
Thank you to the members of the VCM for the photos and thank you to the guides. Congratulations to all !!!
