The Augustians visibly brought the sun in their suitcases. After the weekend-crossover, a heat wave settled on France, particularly marked in the southern half. This Monday, Mercury could climb up to 34 ° C south of Bordeaux. But it is from Tuesday that the heat will really become suffocating, with 36 ° C expected in Nîmes. Wednesday will mark a slight lull, even if the temperatures will remain high, up to 34 ° C in the Mediterranean hinterland. Thursday promises to be the peak of this first scorching sequence, with values between 35 and 37 ° C in the southwest quarter.
Forecasts for the weekend are also becoming clearer: according to the weather chain*, the heat dome present in Spain should gradually go back to France, with temperatures that can locally reach 40 ° C in the southwest.
