It is a symbolic milestone that Walibi Belgium crosses this summer. Inaugurated on July 26, 1975 straddling the municipalities of Wavre, Limal and Bierges, the park imagined by Eddy Meeùs marked generations of visitors. The first to introduce nautical ski lift and unique day ticket in Europe, Walibi quickly established himself as a pioneer in family entertainment in Belgium.
Over the decades, the park has seen cultural attractions, such as the Sirocco, the Tornado, or the Temple of the Sun. In 1987, he again innovated with Aqualibi, his integrated water park, a first at the time.
From July 7 to 27: Back to the future Walibi version
To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Walibi Belgium has planned a festive and nostalgic program from July 7 to 27. The entrance to the park will immediately set the tone with a special decoration and a giant birthday cake. Several free activities will be offered throughout this period:
- A photo exhibition retracing the main stages of the history of the park

- The comeback of pedalos on the lake, to rediscover the park from another angle
- The replay in 4D cinema of the cult film “Rokken Roll ‘”, a nod to the Wab & Skunx universe
- A collection of vintage limited edition products, available in stores
July 26: a special day until the end of the night
Birthday day requires, Saturday July 26 will be the highest point for celebrations. The park will remain exceptionally open until 10 p.m. A unique flea market will allow fans to leave with collector objects, even spare parts of old attractions.
