If you live in the Walloon Brabant or if you were passing through, you may have heard or seen Tuesday evening a federal police helicopter flying over the region. It was a vast police operation to find a man on the run, described as young and dangerous by the police on the ground.
The individual was on the run between Court-Saint-Étienne, Genval and Bousval. He would have hid for a time in a stable, before leaving for Limauges. The police found a red polo shirt on the ground, in the stable where witnesses saw the suspect run away by running and dressed in black and black polo pants.
The helicopter still flew over the area after 11:30 p.m. after reducing kerosene. The research operation lasted at least 6 hours but the suspect was not found or identified.
Yet shortly after 11 p.m. a resident of the neighborhood saw the fugitive lying on an embankment under leaves. The witness called the police who arrived 3 minutes later. But the very stealthy and rapid suspect was passed out in the very wooded nature of the region.
The departure of the run has its origin in a routine control of a suspicious vehicle because of an official plate. Immediately the suspect fled. A federal police helicopter was precisely available and the hunt started. The fugitive abandoned his vehicle and continued his run on foot without being intercepted. The car was declared stolen from the Namur prosecution, which therefore takes the investigation. Analyzes will be carried out in the vehicle to try to identify the fugitive in twenty years which we know absolutely nothing.
