“When there are only halal butchers, it is an unbearable imbalance,” says Sébastien Chenu

While the health authorities do not yet know where the bacteria comes from, the Vice-President of the RN opposed a possible ban on the mode of ritual slaughter for halal food in France.

However, the elected official questioned the preponderance of halal meat shops, especially “in certain northern cities” belonging to his constituency. “I am not hostile to that there is a halal butcher’s shop in the city. But when there are only halal butchers, it creates a manifest imbalance and probably quite unbearable for many,” said the vice-president of the national rally.

“France is a country that has assimilated a lot, which has welcomed, which tolerated a lot and then, at one point, you realize that the door has been opened and has never been closed. I think that our compatriots of Muslim confession have this right, we must guarantee them. But there are other questions that arise, especially that of hygiene on which we must obviously.

The health scandal in the Aisne caused the death of an 11 -year -old girl, 26 children were contaminated by the bacteria.
