The dates of the end of the Tour de France 2025
Date of the last step
The last stage of the Tour de France 2025 will take place on July 27.
Calendar of associated events
As at each stage of the big loop, the Tour caravan will pass before the runners to present the sponsors and partners of the competition, but also and above all to heat the public and distribute goodies to fans.
02
The course of the last step
For this 21st stage, the athletes will rally Paris from Mantes-la-Ville for 132 kilometers of dish. Despite this name, the runners will have to spend the Côte de la Butte Montmartre three times, as during the Paris Olympic Games. What to transform this last section of the Tour de France usually quite soporific in struggle at the top of the ranking?
03
The traditions associated with the last stage of the Tour de France
Since 1975, the Tour de France has ended on the Champs Elysées (before that, it ended up a few kilometers from the capital). Often acting as a celebration of runners, the last step has generally not given rise to great upheavals (with some exceptions, we will approach it below). It is often played in the sprint, Mark Cavendish has therefore won the 21st stage three times.

Events and attractions around the end of the Tour

Following the arrival, the organization will activate to install the podium and give the prices and jerseys to the runners. Obviously, the public is invited to stay to attend the triumph of the yellow jersey and the other winners on the Champs Elysées.
Festivities and entertainment for spectators
If nothing has yet been announced, it can be assumed that several fanzones (called Fan Park) are planned as is the case in Lille and Montpellier. Stands to play at the latest game Tour de France 2025, broadcasting of the stage on a giant screen, local specialties, learning track for little ones (Pumptrack and basic course), BMX show, road safety workshop, quiz … There will be something to do.

Best places to see the arrival
With this last step in the modified course, new spaces to attend the last stage of the Tour are accessible. For the public, it’s absolutely great. On the other hand, if you plan to move that day in intramural Paris, we strongly advise you to report.
To focus on arrival, go to Champs Elysées. Otherwise, you can go to the Place de la Concorde where the cyclists will pass several times. For these two destinations, it is best to go on site early during the day to be well placed.
The Louvre carousel, between the Olympic basin and the tour, offers an interesting mixture between French Tour de France and cultural heritage. In the tourist genre, the mound Montmartre also has serious arguments, especially since you can see the runners pass three times in streets with reduced size as in a mountain stage. On the other hand, it is better not to be agoraphobe.
Tips to avoid the crowd
We imagine that the streets will be filled over the entire route of this 21st stage, but if you may find a slightly less dense popcell place, it is in Caulaincourt street (18th).

The most memorable tour ends
Very far ahead of all the other legendary stages of the Tour, that of the Grande loop 1989 marked the spirits as few sporting events have done so. At the time, the last step was a time trial of only 25 kilometers. Laurent Fignon had 50 seconds ahead of his rival, the American Greg Lemond. Touched in the thigh, the Frenchman had resisted in the previous two stages and had maintained his advance. Even if Lemond was a specialist in time trial, on a flat and short route, no one expected what he managed to do his delay, except perhaps him. Unfortunately for the French public, Fignon lost foot on the Champs Elysées, and was ahead of eight small seconds by the American, an absolute heartbreaker for the runner, but a great moment of sport.
