School: Anne Hiltpold wants a 9e heterogeneous, remains to be convinced
The head of the Geneva public education communicated the framework for reflection in which it wishes to conduct the work of reform of the orientation cycle.
The Montbillant orientation cycle.

We finally know more about Anne Hiltpold’s orientations to reform the orientation cycle. Three years ago, his party, the PLR, flowed CO22. The project to bring together students with great differences in skills had divided the political class like teachers.
It is therefore not trivial that the magistrate placed at the head of the school by yesterday defends the idea of a first year of the heterogeneous cycle, prelude to an organization which would then remain in the form of sectors.
The difference is that, in these classes, the level of requirement would be identical while, in the “mixed classes” of CO22, it could vary.
Classes ghettos
Nothing is decided, and the magistrate promises collaborative work. In addition, by communicating her orientations to teachers, Anne Hiltpold avoids the word “heterogeneity”. In 2001, a first “heterogeneous” year in the cycle had largely failed in the polls.
Pushing the orientation by a year, however, seems necessary for the cycle teachers to accompany him themselves, as close as possible to the capacities and desires of adolescents. One thing is certain: the current organization dysfunction, because it abandons the least school students in ghettos classes.
Who says heterogeneous classes says he adapts teaching according to the skills of the students to avoid abandoning some or drawing the class down. Otherwise, we would only push the difficulties. It will be a question of convincing by providing for means, training and organizational adaptations. At the risk of a new failure.
