The three European ministers who came to Geneva to meet their Iranian counterpart pushed Tehran to negotiate with Washington to avoid regional escalation. Iran has repeated its opening position in dialogue, but only when Israel has ceased its attacks.
(Keystone-ATS) “Iran cannot have the bomb,” British diplomacy David Lammy said on Friday evening at the press. With his French colleagues Jean-Noël Barrot and German Johann Wadephul, he felt their counterpart Abbas Araghchi opened to continue discussions on Iranian nuclear and on regional challenges.
“There can only be a military solution,” admitted French. Iranians must take up negotiations with Washington, according to him.
“Iran is ready to consider diplomacy again as soon as the aggression ends and the aggressor is made responsible,” retorts Mr. Araghchi. US President Donald Trump must take a decision on a military commitment against Iran “in the next two weeks”.
