The approximately 720,000 candidates for the baccalaureate will discover, Friday, July 4, their results, last symbolic step before leaving the school system.
At midday, starting at 11:30 a.m. in certain academies (Bordeaux, Limoges, Nantes, Normandie, Rennes, Poitiers), but mainly at noon (Paris, Versailles, Créteil, Orléans-Tours), high school students from the general, technological and professional sectors will be able to consult their results.
They will discover them at 12:30 p.m. in Strasbourg, Amiens, Dijon and Lille, or at 1 p.m. in Aix-Marseille, Toulouse or Lyon. The results will be available online every year or on display panels in the courtyard of the establishments.
Many high school students know that their baccalaureate is already almost assured. The pressure is less than before, in particular due to continuous control, which represents 40 % of the note. The so -called terminal tests (written and oral French, spent in the first class; specialty tests, philosophy and large oral, passed in terminal) count for 60 %.
A high success rate
The success rate in the baccalaureate has exceeded 80 %since 2012. Last year, it was 91.2 %, up over one year in the three ways (general, technological and professional). In general, it was 95.9 %.
The bac remains necessary to start higher education. But many candidates are already experiencing their orientation for next year, because Parcoursup has started to give his answers to future students since June 2, a moment often became more important than the bac. The main admission phase of the platform will end on July 10. For this edition, 720,806 candidates were registered, more than half of whom for the general bac (386,135 students), 145,930 for the technological bac, and 188,741 for the vocational bac.
For students who will not have their baccalaureate, the catch -up tests of the general and technological baccalaureate will take place until Wednesday, July 9, included. This year, the youngest applicant, registered as a free candidate, is 8 years old, an unprecedented precocity. The oldest is 78 years old.
