A war scene
On the spot, in the early morning, the place was unrecognizable. The damage was impressive and alone testified to the intensity of the explosion: damaged cars, facades destroyed and blown by the explosion, etc. On the spot, it was easily felt like it had to have experienced a real war scene.

A week later, the Charleroi prosecutor’s office tells us that “According to the first observations, the criminal thesis is confirmed“. No question of a gas leak then, as it could have been mentioned among the many hypotheses issued. Duties must still be accomplished by the expert in Marcinelle, in order to submit Carolo a definitive report on the course of the facts.
